Due to the lack of original photos used in my CCA (which is
Digital Music & Arts btw), we're going on an excursion down to the
Singapore Arts Musuem tomorrow to be INSPIRED by the works and take photos of the architecture around the City Hall area as well, fun!
For once we're actually heading out of the one white wall, 3 glass sides and a computer screen in front of us. Quoting the teacher-in-charge,
"I came to realise that it's impossible to be inspired by anything while being inside this dull room full of whiteness." That's right, so we're taking a different approach. I see a much greater time in the club, especially since we've actually have a concrete plan this time!
The point is, I'm picking up basic
photography, will be learning some tips & tricks from Mrs. Roche tomorrow! Can't wait! Excited! :D
Aha, I've also been thinking quite a lot over the caregroup recently, discussed with Zach during shepherding yesterday too. Came up with two important thoughts about a caregroup.
Caregroups can be classified easily into one of these three categories.
Dead CG -> Living CG -> Alive CGWhere's your caregroup today? When our caregroup is simply living, it's not good yet cause it'll constantly go backwards if it doesn't become alive. Just like the bird example, when a bird flies, when it stops flying, it won't hover, it'll start falling unless it continues flying up.
Anything that does not grow will deteriorate and slowly die. From Who Moved My Cheese?: Smell the Cheese often so you know when it is getting old.
When we choose to not to constantly evaluate our caregroup this way, won't it be sad to know that our caregroup is dead only when we actually see it? Therefore a caregroup needs to be evaluated all the time to know whether it's going on a positive gradient or a negative gradient. (Math pun :x)
Second thought, a question actually.
Do I enjoy my caregroup? Think of this like service. If I went for service, I'd love to go, it kinda rocks actually, seeing all the happy faces and all of us gathering in that one place. What about caregroup? Do you enjoy going for caregroup or are you one who looks at the handphone occasionally to look forward to when caregroup ends? I can come up with a list of observable things to see if your caregroup is sian or fun and this is very
obvious. There's no need to think twice over the question, do you enjoy your caregroup?
At the end of the day, the simplest way to start the spark is asking ourselves.
"Will I want to hold this caregroup every single day?"Think of it this way, you're going to spend eternity with these bunch of people, will it be heaven-like or hell-like for you?
